Educational Qualifications:
A visionary with proven leadership qualities, administrative capabilities as well as teaching and research credentials.
The candidate must be having academic record throughout and a minimum of 10-years of experience as a professor in the university or an equivalent position in a reputed research and/ or academic administrative organization.
Age Limit:
As per PU Chandigarh rules.
Salary:
Rs. 75000/- Per Month (fixed) and Rs. 5000/- Special Allowance per month and Dearness Allowance as applicable (as per 6th pay commission).
Selection Process:
On the basis of interview. The Vice-Chancellor will be appointed by the Counsellor, Panjab University, the Vice President of India from a panel of names recommended by the selection committee.
